At NŪR, the health and safety of our clients and staff is our top priority and we are taking extra precautions due to COVID-19. While you can still expect the same high level of quality and individualized attention to your skin’s needs, we have updated some of our practices to be compliant with safety protocols. Read on to find out more!

Our Standard Practices

Some things haven’t changed. Our technicians have always worn masks and gloves during treatments, and now is no exception. You are provided with a clean pair of slippers and a robe for your appointment; outdoor shoes are left outside our door. Slippers, robes, and towels are laundered with hot water and detergent throughout the day. Surfaces and equipment are sanitized between each appointment in our treatment rooms, and we are regularly disinfecting shared surfaces in our waiting room. Due to our small staff and the number of treatment rooms, we will not have more than 10 people within 1,000 square feet, making it easy to maintain social distance outside of treatments.

Face Mask Requirement

In compliance with Illinois Executive Order 2020-32, we ask that you wear a face mask in our waiting area and throughout the building. You may remove your mask once you have entered one of our treatment rooms.

Temperature Checks

Upon arrival, our receptionist will greet you with a friendly smile and a quick scan of your forehead. Temperatures of 100.4℉ or higher are considered a fever and a possible symptom of COVID-19. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please reach out to us and we can reschedule your service for a later date.

Covid-Clean Check-In and Check-Out

We are excited to announce new safety features through Vagaro, our booking app! When you download the Vagaro app to your smartphone, you will have the option to check-in from your phone up to fifteen minutes before your appointment start time. You can wait outside or in your car and our reception desk will notify you via the app when we are ready to begin your service. This Covid-Clean check-in process allows us to limit clients’ time spent in our waiting area and keep everything contact-free since it is done electronically.

With Vagaro’s Covid-Clean Checkout, we are able to complete your checkout electronically. Once you have tapped/swiped/or dipped your card, you can input the tip amount and sign for the payment from your smartphone, reducing the number of shared surfaces you interact with. Redeeming a treatment that is part of a prepaid package is always contact-free.

If you would like to leave a tip for your technician but don’t want to carry cash, you can send the tip via Venmo or Zelle.

Paperless Forms

As part of our new operating system, we are using digital documents for our New Client Intake Form and our New Client Consent Form. Existing clients will need to fill out the new digital forms, but once filled out they stay on file! The digital forms allow us to reduce both our paper usage and skip out on handling shared items like paper and pens.

Staff Health Policy

If anyone on staff has been exposed to a person with COVID-19, our entire staff will quarantine and get tested. We will cancel any pending appointments and close NŪR until our staff has received negative test results.

COVID Cancellation Policy

Customers will not incur cancellation fees if we have to cancel appointments due to staff COVID-19 exposure, and any packages set to expire during a COVID-19 closure would be extended.

We remain committed to the well-being of everyone at NŪR, and will update our health and safety practices as needed.
